In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark’s. We especially welcome
our guests who have joined us today. We pray you will be strengthened by the good news
about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness to us through Jesus.
Worship Focus: We love our risen Lord. He won our life, gives us life, preserves our life, and promises us life eternal. To thank our Lord for he’s done, therefore, we obey his commands. That means we don’t just love him; we love others, too. “As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” Thankfully our Lord not only gives us the commands but he also promises us the Spirit of truth to counsel and guide us in our obedience to him.

Worship Focus: Do you have ‘trust’ issues? Who of us does not at some point and for a variety of reasons? Even when it comes to God, we can have trust issues. God knows this about us, and He is proactive about what we need to do about it. Lean on Him even more. He has proven repeatedly that He cares for us and wants what is best for us though we may not get to experience that fully until we get to heaven. Today is another opportunity to grow in our trust in the One who is looking out for us. Let us worship Him!

In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark’s. We especially welcome
our guests who have joined us today. We pray you will be strengthened by the good news
about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness to us through Jesus.
Focus of Today’s Service: Our Good Shepherd keeps us safe. Sheep are pretty helpless creatures, and they can go astray pretty easily. That makes them a pretty good picture of…who we are. We can come under attack spiritually by so many enemies, and we can also let ourselves be led astray by so many things. That’s why today we celebrate the fact that our God has sent us a Good Shepherd, Jesus. He not only keeps us safe like a good shepherd would, but he gives us life and life abundantly!

In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark’s. We especially welcome
our guests who have joined us today. We pray you will be strengthened by the good news
about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness to us through Jesus.
Worship Focus: Is faith in Jesus only for the good times, or only for the not good times of life? It is for both. During the good we have a tendency to put Jesus on the side. During the not good we like to blame Jesus or run to Him with promises only to break them when good again. Today we are reminded of the fact that while we are in this world, this world does not have what we truly need; we are not to put our faith and hope in it or get too comfortable living in this world. We rather are to keep our faith and hope in what helps us through this life and has only the best to come. Jesus is the source of a full life. What this means is our focus today.

Worship Focus:
Have we trials and temptations still to deal with? Didn’t Jesus die and rise again
to take care of such on our behalf? Having to go through such does not negate what Jesus has
gained for us; rather such things heighten the importance of what He came to do and what He has
accomplished. Instead of such conquering us, we in Christ are the conquerors. We have been given
reasons to rejoice even in the midst of trial and temptation, trials and temptations we can endure
and overcome thanks to Christ. Rejoice, dear friend, rejoice in the news of sins forgiven and life in
heaven is coming.
