We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness through Jesus.
Worship Focus: Have you been caught in a storm, whether that be while traveling in the Sierra or
out fishing on the ocean? Are there days when you emotionally are going through a storm? The word
‘storm’ conjures up more of a negative vibe, something that can cause trouble and lead to concern and
fear. God provides ways to deal with the storms of life by keeping our attention on the calm He has
made available now through Jesus, as well as by keeping our mind on the fact that these current
storms are temporary. Let us not take for granted, then, the triumphant status God has given to us in
Christ.

Worship Focus: That is not fair. When is the last time you have said or thought this about a life
event? Life does not always come across fair to us or from our perspective, that does not mean it is
not. Consider what Jesus had to endure while on this earth, talk about not fair; and let us not say that
was different. It was for you and me that He took upon Himself something that was not fair. Hold
on to God’s perfect justice; He gives us what we need … to endure … to get to heaven.

We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness through Jesus.
Worship Focus: Are you sure you can handle the truth … the truth about yourself … the truth
about what God in love has done for you? If you can, then why so often do we spend time doubting
God’s love for us, as well as not consistently living a life which reflects we believe the truth we are
forgiven by grace through faith? While we are thankful for the Word of God being taught in its truth
and purity in many churches throughout the world, there still is a need for vigilance so that the Truth
does not get lost amidst a social gospel and other philosophies which detract from the pure Gospel.
Souls depend on this ongoing Reformation focus and a self-reflection emphasis.

We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness through Jesus.
Worship Focus: When is the last time you have led someone to commit a sin? Maybe it was to tell a
lie, to steal something for you, to listen to your gossip. We are guilty of doing this more than we care
to admit; same with being led into sin by others, let alone by our own sinful nature. Jesus knows us
so well that He made sure we have opportunity to hear about our sins and what the solution is to
deal with our sins. We have all the more reason to give thanks to God for His grace in our life. Let us
thank and praise Him through our thoughts and words and actions.
