We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love and forgiveness through Jesus.
Worship Focus: What about lawn care or maintaining a garden irritates you the most? Would weed control make the top of the list for more than a few people? Weeds can pop up quickly and be stubborn coming out, they can grow in dry conditions, and they can choke out good plants. Weed control calls for constant action. And it is no different when it comes to spiritual weed control, we need to constantly stay on the lookout for whatever ‘weed’ is trying to grow in our life/heart and take the necessary action. God provides us with the weed control that is needed, that is why we are gathered together once again. God be praised!

Worship Focus: If we do not plant seeds in the ground, what can we expect to happen? If we neglect the seeds planted in the ground, what can we expect? If we nurture the seeds planted in the ground, what can we expect? Expectations are a part of life. Are the expectations we have come up with realistic? What is our role in turning expectations into realities? God be praised for His not only planting seeds, but also nurturing those seeds, as well as having expectations, and putting in place the ability to meet such. One of His expectations is being fulfilled right now, and that is, you are here.

Worship Focus: Why do bad things happen to good people? Have you come up with a good answer for that one? Bad things happening to good and bad people have become a part of life, the why and what can be done about it is what we are reminded of in the Scripture Readings for today. Continue to take your questions to the Lord, search His Word for answers, and encourage one another to endure.

Worship Focus: What will hurt you more: The ridicule and pressure given on account of your faith in Jesus, or abandoning that faith with the hope of an easier time of it on earth? Maybe at the moment you are not feeling the pressure for your faith in Jesus, give thanks; yet, if it is taking place, what do you need to help you endure? You are in the right place, keeping in mind the words of Hebrews 10 about not giving up meeting together. Let us, then, continue to encourage one another.

We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love and forgiveness through Jesus.
Worship Focus: Who tends to be filled with, and expresses, hate? Is it the one who is opposed to God and His will for us human beings? Or, is it the one who holds to God and His will? While believers are not free from expressing hate, the one opposed to God seems to be driven by a hatred toward God and all He stands for and thus also those who believe in God. It is nothing new that those opposed to God and His ways will try to change the hearts of believers. The encouragement Jesus offers is very much valid and needed today. Keep the faith, brothers and sisters!
