Our Christian Response to Life’s Blessings and Challenges: This practical class will consider how Christians deal with a wide variety of situations in daily life—from unmet needs and unresolved anger, to financial blessings, to health concerns, to the death of a loved one. This discussion-oriented class will be led by David Matthews in the Luther Room.

What great danger we place ourselves in when we assume that we could never fall from faith and lose the blessings of salvation Christ has given us! The Lenten call to repentance in today's service calls us to repent of false spiritual security that fails to see our need to cling to God's Word and Sacraments and ultimately to the cross of Christ.

Worship Focus: “I once was lost, but now am found.” Those familiar words from the hymn, “Amazing Grace,” reflect the common theme in today’s Scripture lessons. Our inherited sinful condition causes each one of us to be lost in sin, even at birth, but God calls us to repentance and faith and unconditionally restores us to his family through the message of the gospel.
