Worship Focus:  The believer hears the Word of God and listens with a trusting heart. So many things in this world can distract us from that simple privilege and duty of believers! A Closer Look—A Study of the Sunday Readings will be taught this week by John Lervold in the church sanctuary.

Hard Sayings of Jesus

Hard Sayings of Jesus will meet in the Luther Room. Matt Bauer, Paul Baker, and Mike Rausch will serve as leaders of this study. If attendance is too large for the Luther Room, the class might move into the chapel instead.

Sixth Sunday after Pentecost

Worship Focus:  Following Christ calls for total commitment. The life of faith walks in lock step with the will of God and does not follow the meandering ways of this world. The Prayer of the Day says it well: “Pour into our hearts such love for you that, loving you above all things, we may obtain your promises…”.
