In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness to us through his Son, Jesus Christ.

Worship Focus: Today’s service presents us with the biblical truth that God is three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and yet one God—a mystery that inspires our praise and adoration!

Worship Focus: Pentecost Day marks the birthday of the Holy Christian Church. After his ascension into heaven, Jesus fulfilled his promise by sending the Holy Spirit on his disciples in a miraculous way to hasten the spread of the gospel. Today we commemorate this important even that took place 50 days after Jesus’ resurrection, and we celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit in the Church and in our own lives.

His ascension proclaims that his work to secure our salvation is complete, reminds us of our mission to proclaim the gospel to all creation, and assures us that Christ will return at the end of the time to bring his believers home to himself in heaven.
