Worship Focus: What is a word when used in church settings can cause the blood pressure of people to rise? It is the word ‘stewardship.’ People associate this word with ‘asking for money.’ While money is a part of what is included with the word ‘stewardship,’ stewardship is so much more than money. It is about God-pleasing management of all that God has put into our life, this includes our time and talents. Today we are reminded of the bigger use of the word, along with the motivation behind God-pleasing stewardship.

Worship Focus: To say ‘I love you’ to someone we know and like is one thing, but to say that to someone we do not like or who does not like us is another matter. That is what makes God’s love for you and me even more amazing; it is not a love we on our own would put into practice. God did, for you and for me. Grace, it is not a simple word is it? Let us continue to celebrate His grace in our life … and put this love into practice

Worship Focus: What does it mean to be zealous for the Lord? Look no further than Jesus in our Gospel Lesson for today. Jesus’ zealousness overflows in love for God’s temple?the temple in Jerusalem in his day, the temple of his body that he gave for us, and the temple that we have become through the Spirit. May Jesus’ zealousness for honoring God motivate and fuel the same for us today.
