Worship Focus: On Palm Sunday we celebrate our Lord’s glorious and yet humble entry into Jerusalem the week he was going to die for the sins of the world. This is the perfect day to see who Jesus really is: the most glorious king and yet the most humble servant. While he may have been humble enough to ride into town on a donkey—on a colt, the foal of a donkey—we join with those believers from that first Palm Sunday and praise him for who he truly is: the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Worship Focus: What is a word when used in church settings can cause the blood pressure of people to rise? It is the word ‘stewardship.’ People associate this word with ‘asking for money.’ While money is a part of what is included with the word ‘stewardship,’ stewardship is so much more than money. It is about God-pleasing management of all that God has put into our life, this includes our time and talents. Today we are reminded of the bigger use of the word, along with the motivation behind God-pleasing stewardship.

That is what makes God’s love for you and me even more amazing; it is not a love we on our own would put into practice. God did, for you and for me. Grace, it is not a simple word is it? Let us continue to celebrate His grace in our life … and put this love into practice

However, sometimes we forget that we've been called to suffer, too, in a sense, not for sins but for the gospel's sake. This world tends to push back against Christ, his Word, and his people. Therefore today as we focus on Christ's gracious suffering for our sake we ready ourselves to face suffering for his sake.

Worship Focus: As we close out the season of Epiphany we see our Lord shine his light big and bright one more time before the trials of Lent ahead. Seeing his true glory must have brought awe and comfort to the disciples as Jesus faced the difficult times to come. We also daily take heart in the fact that our Savior is true God and Lord and that he has given his glory for us to shine.
