Focus of Today’s Service: Oh what perils God’s people will face in these last days! But oh what perils God has already delivered his people from throughout the millennia! In every case, God makes the truth of his Word, his gospel, his Son, and his grace shine bright. Today as you celebrate God’s work in this world to keep his pure gospel proclaimed to all nations, may you appreciate more than ever the fact that God is indeed our mighty fortress through the trials of this life and into the eternal life to come.

Worship Focus: Would you say you manage your life well? Would you say you are a good witness for the Christ? Would you say you are a willing participant when it comes to helping others? There are days when we do well in all three of these areas, and then there are days … Are you satisfied with less than 100%? A more important question to ask ourselves is God satisfied with less than our 100%? He is not into excuses, as we are reminded of today. Yet, our God is a gracious God. We will explore both aspects of God and what such means for us day to day.

Worship Focus: Jesus encourages good stewardship, that is management of everything He puts into our life. He has a purpose behind this encouragement, and it is not to just build up ourselves. He wants us to be a witness to everyone we come into contact with so that they too will come to confess Jesus as Savior and live their life as a reflection of Jesus. Stewardship and Mission Work go together. May we see that connection in our Scripture Readings for today as we celebrate the fact we are saved and with purpose.

Worship Focus:Everything ‘I’ earn is mine to do with as ‘I’ please. Who though has given us the ability to earn a living? Our wealth is not really ours as it all comes from God. How we use what God gives is a reflection of what is in our heart. Wealth and people pass away. What we do then with our wealth, great or small by the world’s standards, can have an impact on people beyond this life. This purpose for our wealth falls under the category of Christian Giving. God help us find joy in the use of His financial gifts to us. Is this one of your prayers?

Welcome to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church & School!
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today.
We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness to us through Jesus.
Worship Focus: Last week we looked at the servant-like attitude we’re to have as God’s people. This week we remind ourselves of the ultimate purpose behind it. We serve in order to serve the gospel. We don’t focus on our glory and let jealousy and envy overtake us. Instead our whole lives are focused on furthering the gospel and bringing glory to God and to the name of his Son who saved us.

Musical Accompanist: Marty Puckett

Worship Focus: People in the kingdom of God do things a little differently than the rest of the world. We live to serve. And how could we not? Look at the fruit it brings and the compassion that drives it. Look at how our Savior was a servant and what that brought for the world. Yes, God indeed has it right: the greatest is the one who becomes a servant of all.

We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness to us through Jesus.
Focus of Today’s Service: Have you experienced any ‘heat’ because of your Christ-centered faith? God’s Word is clear on how we are to live this life, what He has done to save us from our sins, and with what we can expect at times by living life His way as well as when we profess Jesus as the Savior. Tolerance is a big buzz word, but is it put into practice on both sides of the aisle? Let us not be surprised by how people react concerning the Christ and toward you who believe in Him. Continue to confess Him as the Savior, it is good for the soul.
