Children Sing - Third Sunday after the Epiphany - 10:45 am Service
Sunday Jan 27, 2019
Sunday Jan 27, 2019
Worship Focus: “This Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing,” said Jesus to the crowd in the synagogue. Sure enough, God did it again: He fulfilled his Word. Today we celebrate the fact that God not only gives us his Word but also fulfills it, especially his promises of a Savior, new life in the Spirit, and eternal life. Because God always fulfills his Word, we can be confident as we sing our praises to him and share his Word with others.

Worship Focus: When Christ performed his first miracle, he revealed his glory and who he was. The disciples saw it and their faith was strengthened. The same is true for us today as we gaze upon and take in the glory of our Savior and of the God who sent him. As he reveals his glory to you this morning, may your heart be filled with the magnitude of his love.

Worship Focus: Are you into status, that is, what people think of you? Perhaps you do not think much of yourself. We want to avoid the trap of thinking too much of ourselves as well as thinking of ourselves as worthless. The balance comes in the status God gives to us. Through Him we are justified. This is a humbling thought as well as a reason to celebrate. Celebrate every day the status God has given to you and has to give to others. What is your role in letting others know this?

Sunday Dec 23, 2018
Sunday Dec 23, 2018
Worship Focus: The Savior comes bearing gifts! He comes bearing the gift of God’s love. God sees us in our humble state: tainted with the “image of man,” battling sin, giving in to sin, with death rearing its ugly head and the devil opposing us and God along the way. Yet our God gives us his love so abundantly through the Christ-child that he shepherds us, blesses us, and gives us deliverance from our enemies sin, death, and the devil. The Savior certainly comes bearing the gift of love!
