Worship Focus: Do you agree with the sayings ‘Never too old to learn something new” or “I learn something new every day”? Do we get to a point in life when it can be said ‘we know it all’? That would be quite a feat. While in a sense we never stop learning , it is also important to put into practice what we learn. Our School has been teaching valuable life skills for 50 years. Today we focus on some of those taught life skills with the reminder to not just learn them but to follow them as well. Happy learnin g! Blessings on the doing!

Worship Focus: In faith we proclaim with the psalmist, “ Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path ,” and, “ How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! ” (Psalm 119:103,105). Yet, are they really? Not with the way we treat the Word in our lives oftentimes. So today God gives us a reminder of just how precious his Word is to us and invites us to listen to its life - giving message . Speak, Lord, your servants are listening!Focus of Today’s Service : Is family important to you? If so, why ? Families just don’t happen , and keeping a family together does not just happen. Becoming a part of God’s family does not just happen, and the same for remaining a part of it. Today we are reminded of how we become a part of God’s family , along with some of the responsibiliites and advantages of being a part of His family. The family setting (physically and spiritually) is a gift , let us celebrate such and build such up.

Welcome to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church & School In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness to us through Jesus.
How do you know if you have ‘made it’ in this life? Is it determined by how
much money you have in your bank account? Is it by how many followers you have on a social
media platform? Is it by having a spirit of contentment from day to day? The Bible provides insight
for our consideration when it comes to defining what is a successful or fulfilled life, as well as what
we are to do with the answer it provides. To God be praise!

Focus of Today’s Service: This past week at VBS we looked at God’s miraculous mission to save the world. Worship Focus: Being a disciple of Christ doesn’t bring riches and glory and fame. Instead it brings trouble and scorn and shame. Yet that’s not all it brings. In fact, we can bear the cross of being a child of God because that means we’ll be rewarded with the crown of life thanks to Christ. Simply put: We can bear our cross because Christ bore his for us.

Worship Focus: Who are you? Beyond your name and occupation, beyond being a spouse and parent, beyond being a friend and volunteer, who are you? God has very clear words on who we are not to be. He also is very clear on who we are to be and how we are this and what this identity comes with in this life and beyond. Who we are by grace is to be evident in all we are and do. Can you say this has been the case up to this point in your life? Soak in God’s refreshing grace this morning as we are reminded of who we are.
