Welcome to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church & School!
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness through Jesus.
Worship Focus: : “Did God really say?” That temptation has been around as long as faith has been. God tells
us something, and we have faith that it’s true—we believe! But because of sin we always have to wrestle with
doubt. Doubt in God’s care naturally brings with it fear and despair and wavering, especially in the midst of
trials. God’s answer to such doubt: his power. He’s proven it numerous times in the past, and he’ll prove it
again with everything he’s promised us. He’ll follow through—he always does! It’s confidence in that fact that
guides the Christian to answer doubt with faith.

Welcome to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church & School!
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness through Jesus.
Worship Focus: Does a life of hardship mean that God does not care or does not exist? Not at
all. The way to endure a life of hardship, different for each one of us, is through God’s care; which
He provides through His Word, as well as through people He puts into our life. We have examples
of this in our worship today. God remains compassionate. Marvel again how God can use hardship
for something good.

Welcome to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church & School!
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness through Jesus.
Worship Focus: How much value would you say the gospel has? Does your life match your answer? It will
someday. Today Jesus reminds us that the gospel is the most priceless treasure we have—no other kind of
treasure compares! And that will be revealed on the Last Day when those with faith in the gospel and those
without are separated for all eternity. So does our life reflect our faith in this? If not, let us do what Paul
implores and seek spiritual wealth and lay up for ourselves treasures in the coming age instead of focusing on the
treasures of this age.

In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness through Jesus.
Worship Focus: Are your ears working? Some of us do suffer from hearing loss. May nothing though be able to prevent us from hearing the voice of God through His holy Word. Much is at stake. God bless the hearing of His Word this day.

Worship Focus:
“Come, follow me.” Jesus has called each of us into discipleship and he tells us to follow
him. But how? Where do we need to go? How can we stay safe and healthy? What are we to do on this
journey? Jesus provides answers to all of those questions in his ever-guiding Word and in his almighty power
and grace. He provides the sure promise, the healing, the power, and the purpose. Jesus leads the way!

In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Mark’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray you will be strengthened by the good news about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness through Jesus.
Worship Focus:
Lots of spiritual battles we face out there everyday. Lots of spiritual stress that can eat away atour hearts, especially with each sin we commit. Lots of anxiety-inducing worries out there, especially when we consider our eternal futures. So today we praise the Father for sending his Son, who came and secured our Sabbath rest. Our enemies defeated, our burdens taken, and our hope secure, Jesus indeed brings rest to our souls forevermore.

Worship Focus:
What would you use to rate your life as being a ‘succes’ or not? Would it depend on how other people view you? Your Bank balances? Your career? Does your rating scale match the one God recommends? Today we are reminded of what will happen when we are more concerned about what this world can offer us in place of what God offers us. God help us live a life which reflects His priorities, and celebrates His goodness.

Worship Focus:
What is your worst fear? Do you know why it is that? Not to dismiss your fear, for there is legitimate fear, Jesus reminds us what we should be afraid of; He also points out the way to overcome this fear before it is too late. Too late for what? The Scripture Readings provide that answer.

What are you thankful for today? No matter the day or the circumstances we can be, and ought to be, thankful for God’s grace in our life. His grace is 100% reliable. It is 100% needed. Celebrate God’s grace in your life today, and every day. By His grace we are saved. Can you say ‘Amen’ to that?
